Hello and welcome to Xtend Health Asia, a labor of love dedicated to Xtend-Life Natural Health Products (health supplements & skincare), which is manufactured in their fully-own and purpose-built state-of-the-art facility in Christchurch, New Zealand.
They are highly regulated (very important to me as health professional): Has a food safety program based on hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) which is regularly audited by AsureQuality (an internationally accredited authority owned by the New Zealand government), and a Risk Management Program (RMP) which is regularly audited by the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). Xtend-Life also abides by the US FDA’s cGMP (good manufacturing practices) code for dietary supplements.
These compliance programs enable them to rigorously control the quality of all raw ingredients and finished products to ensure that their products always achieve the highest standards possible.
I hope this website is able to help you naturally build and achieve the health, wellness and skin that you desire.

As men (also as wives and girlfriends to their men), what are the best multi-vitamins and multi-nutrients for men available today?
What's the best in the world?
What's the top 10 multi-vitamins and multi-nutrients for men?
In fact, as a man, do I even need a high-quality multi-vitamin to boost and supplement my health?
More below.
It may seem weird, odd or even counter-intuitive that the modern-man today need to supplement their lifestyle and nutrition with a good multi-vitamin and multi-nutrient supplement.
Some of the factors to consider includes:
These all more and more points to the need for more high quality multi-vitamins and multi-nutrients.
The article, “Malnourished…With Fruit & Veges” (2002) highlights the point that the nutrient and nourishment content in our core foods has devalued and decreased significantly over time, generally due to over-farming, bad farming practices, bad manufacturing practices as well as industrialization as a whole.
An example, the humble potato:
Over the last 50 years the potato has lost (since 1952):
So...what on earth are we eating?
Does that mean "larger" people are eating right and well nourished?
Actually, no. Foods today are calorie-rich but nutrient-poor, so both larger and leaner people can be equally nutrient-deficit.
Even both western-trained medical doctors are agreeing to it:
“… mainstream physicians are beginning to recognize this problem as evidenced by a recent article in JAMA which advocated people take quality supplements for preventative measures” (paragraph 16).
Note that they that "preventative measures" are bolded to be emphasized, which points in the direction that we can truly supplement, boost and improve our nutrition and nutrients
from nutritional deficit >>> nutritional sufficiency
Studies are showing that it is the lack of sufficient vitamins, minerals, amino acids (nutrients per se) that leads to diseases, illnesses and health breakdown, hence the focus on nutritional sufficiency via health supplementation.
There is a grid table below which will show you at a glance the top 10 multi-vitamins and multi-nutrients specificly designed for men/males, and they're entirely my opinion.
They are scored from 1st to 10th position based on the scoring system (the % effectiveness) as well as other additional factors that are not mentioned in the table to keep the table simple and clean (the additional factors are listed below, and covered more in depth in a separate article - link also found below).
All 10 of these multi-vitamins are manufactured in cGMP-compliant facilities (current Good Manufacturing Practice), and these multi-vitamins were scored using a vitamin methodology and process here.

You can see above, there is only a handful of men's/male multi-vitamins that can is allowed to the list. Well known and popular brands like Centrum, GNC, Avon - all the usual ones didn't score very well and are rightfully excluded from this list.
cGMP-registered and compliant means that the supplement is
manufactured under the compliance of stringent rules and regulations set
by the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and
companies that are compliant with them are verified and confirm to
produce products that are of rigorous standards from the manufacturing
processes, ingredient sourcing etc, leading to extremely high quality
and absorption rates.
In June 2010, United States law states that any companies that wants to sell any products in United States MUST be GMP compliant. This led to many companies seeking and obtaining the NSF for Sports GMP compliance (not as rigorous as the full GMP, but better than nothing).
But, at the end of 2011, it seems that a high number of more than 70% of companies selling products in United States are still not GMP-compliant nor compliant to the legal ruling (Matthews, An Insider’s View of The Supplement Manufacturing Process, paragraph 13).
Over time, the number of non-compliant companies has slowly inched upwards to the high 80+%.
Irony being, the law and regulation is there to have and be compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), but unfortunately, it is not enforced (leading to the high quantity of non-GMP/poor manufacturing practice supplements available in the market)
There are six (6) agencies that assist with GMP applications, registration, certifications and audits, and they are:
USP (United States Pharmacopoeia) states in their website that:
“The United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is a scientific nonprofit organization that sets standards for the identity, strength, quality, and purity of medicines, food ingredients, and dietary supplements manufactured, distributed and consumed worldwide.”
United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) drug standards are enforceable in the United States by the FDA, and these standards are developed and relied upon in more than 130 countries worldwide (Taken from About USP, paragraph 1)
Till today, very few health supplement companies have USP-verified GMP products, but the few that are listed that are non-USP GMP are: SunMark, Nature Made, Safeway, Kirkland, Equaline, and TruNature.
Does this mean that these brands are better quality? Not confirmed and not necessarily.
There are a few nutritional health companies that are GMP-certified but are not on this list which includes:
All these 5 companies are GMP compliant. It's interesting, because even the USP GMP certification can be somewhat confusing/deceiving, although not intentionally so.
Xtend-Life is founded, based and headquarted in Christchurch, New Zealand, and the New Zealand Ministry of Health (MOH) enforces strict cGMP certification for health companies in New Zealand. This is applied to ALL health supplement companies in New Zealand, which must adhere to stringent pharmaceutical-grade quality standards by the US FDA, their Ministry of Health, cGMP as well as the British Pharmacopeia.
Any New Zealand health supplement companies are directly regulated and overseen by the New Zealand Ministry of Health (MOH) as well as have regular compliance audits by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority, which is an arm of the New Zealand Ministry Of Health.
Douglas Labs is based in Pennsylvania, US, and like Xtend-Life, it is also a GMP-compliant supplement manufacturer that is not on the USP list but it is highly recognized and regarded by doctors as well as other healthcare professionals.
Xtend-Life takes it a few notches higher, and they initiate a Hazard Analysis Critical Point Program (HACCP) as part of their product certification program. This HACCP program is audited and regulated by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.
Supplements and supplement makers in New Zealand have to comply and meet the same (if not higher) rigorous standards as set by the USP and FDA and GMP requirements.
